The Ralls County Junior Fairboard has announced that they recently received a $4,000 grant from Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business. The grant originated with a request from Jody Ketsenburg, Pioneer area manager, through Pioneer Community Investment. The funds from Pioneer will be used to provide storage facilities for 4-H shooting sports equipment that is used through the year for the shooting sports project and the annual county fair.
The storage facility will also be used to store other equipment for the fair, including gates, BBQ equipment supplies and concession stand materials. The funds will also be used to make improvements in the existing livestock show barn, which was recently damaged by wind. Receiving the Pioneer Hi-Bred Foundation check is Beverly Klise, Ralls County 4-H Council President, and Terry Hoyt, Ralls County Junior Fairboard President. Also present were Jody Ketsenburg, Pioneer area manager, Tim Floweree and Chad Wallace, Pioneer sales representatives.
