Blake Meyers, a plant science and technology professor was elected as a member to the National Academy of Sciences earlier this month. It’s one of the highest honors a U.S. scientist can receive, and he’s only the 12th MU professor ever elected to the academy.

The University of Missouri’s Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI) released their baseline outlook, a yearly report that provides the economic outlook of the food and agriculture industry.

Scientists at University of Missouri collaborate with Harvard, Georgia Tech to develop a novel diabetes treatment involving transplanting pancreas cells that produce insulin.

The University of Missouri-Kansas City returned to Kauffman Stadium for its second consecutive spring Commencement at the home of the Kansas City Royals, celebrating the degrees earned by more than 2,300 graduates.

The new UMKC Dr. Raj Bala Agrawal Care Center opened in the Student Union today with a ceremony to celebrate enhanced access to support services for the university community.

Hailing from the small farming community of Edina, Missouri, Michael Carlson is now looking to the stars. After earning his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Missouri S&T in May, he was commissioned as a lieutenant in the U.S. Space Force, where he plans to specialize in cybersecurity.

In recognition of its exceptional return on investment, Missouri S&T was recently ranked 30th among the nation’s public universities in Money’s 2022 Best Colleges ranking. S&T ranked 41st among all U.S. universities, public or private.

The University of Missouri–St. Louis is taking steps to expand its reach and will begin offering in-state tuition to new, undergraduate students in the eight states that border Missouri beginning this fall through the newly launched Gateway Scholarship Program.
